This new building in the South-East of Amsterdam is in the pivot point of a neighbourhood undergoing significant transformation. The cultural-historical value in this area lies in the ensemble of buildings that belong to the former industrialization of the area – the former Cinetone Studios being the most culturally significant as the birthplace of the Dutch film industry. The transformation of the neighbourhood includes the future redevelopment of the Bajes Kwartier and the culturally significant former industrial warehouse buildings and studios that are undergoing adaptive reuse.
